At 805 Physical Therapy, we are passionate about partnering with you to keep your dreams alive. Like the Brown Pelican, we believe you can make a come back, whether that means returning to sport/activity, being able to care for a loved one, or even just to be able to lift your arm overhead without pain for the first time in years.
Our unique mobile PT model allows us to tailor your PT experience to fit your goals and needs.
With over 26 years of experience in the orthopedic/sports medicine physical therapy field, Sandy brings a seasoned eye to her thorough assessments and a vast array of treatment techniques and modalities to address pain, function and ultimately your goals, all in an effective and meaningful way.
She is a board certified orthopedic specialist, one of only seven certified Mulligan practitioners in CA, a former yoga instructor and was a D1 scholarship athlete. She enjoys surfing, backpacking, traveling, triathlon training and mostly her family.
She has also volunteered in communities in Nicaragua and Honduras, teaching physical therapists and treating children in orphanages. Domestically, Sandy has served as a Clinical Instructor to PT students, served as a formal mentor to her colleagues, and serves in children and women’s ministry at her local church.
At 805 Physical Therapy, we believe that physical therapy is not just about treating injuries, but about empowering our clients to take control of their own health and well-being. We prioritize education and prevention to help our clients achieve long-
term success.
The traditional clinical setting is restrained by insurance demands which has constrained even the best therapists to have the time and energy to give you the care you deserve.
At 805 Physical Therapy, you are the MVP and we are focused on getting you back to doing what you love.
Our unique model allows us to be mobile if needed, work with your athlete on the sidelines at practice if allowed, challenged you in a our Ventura gym setting if appropriate, or experience your therapy in a more tradition clinic or even a home.
In your first initial evaluation, therapist will be completing a thorough exam that begins with an in depth interview to better understand your goals, your health and better guide the examination process. From there a physical exam will start with a look at posture and lead into assessment of movement, strength, mobility and special tests. You will leave having had an introduction to treatment and recommendations to start your come back journey..
A two day running assessment. Day 1 you will receive a full PT exam, get your treadmill run on video and leave with any immediate concerns addressed. Day 2, you will follow up to go over your running video analysis, corrective measures and a treatment plan that may simply consist of an independent home program.
We have the privilege of owning the gold standard in Blood Flow Restriction devices.
Need a walking buddy for motivation or safety. We partner with local teens and young adults who are CPR and First Aid certified. They have been trained in assisting in basic transfers and the use of a gait belt. If the walker has any cardiovascular conditions, the walking companion will take basic vitals before the walk. The walker must fall within safe limits. Additonally, our companions are great listeners and will be a bright part of your day.
Personalized individual or group movement sessions. Before each session, we will have a phone or video interview to discuss your needs and goals. You pick the location!

I had the fortune of working with Sandy after an unfortunate accident, and as a result I needed surgery. I didn’t really know if I would recover full function of my left arm, but after meeting Sandy, I was able to understand not only that I could but how I could and what I needed to do in order to accomplish that. Sandy was not only professional, but also very knowledgeable and what makes her different is her ability to communicate and connect with her patients. She walked me through every step and make sure I was doing the exercises and stretches correctly. I golf, swim and go to the gym, plus my work is physically demanding and thanks to Sandy I can do it all as good or better than before. I highly recommend her set of skills and personality.- A.E.N., Professional Golfer
Junior year of baseball is by far the most important. I had a very heartbreaking knee injury in the very beginning of the year. There wasn’t too much hope I would be back and fully healthy by the end of the year. Sandy was incredible at helping me recover from my knee injury. Through her expertise and dedication, she worked with me twice a week, guiding me through exercises and treatments that helped me regain my strength and stability. She always made me feel supported and confident in my recovery. Her knowledge, professionalism, and genuine care for her patients truly set her apart from any physical therapist I've had. I couldn’t have asked for a better physical therapist, and I’m grateful and blessed for all her help!

Sandy worked on me with utmost diligence after my Total Knee Replacement about 6 months ago! Prior to that, I have been to several different PTs for various reasons. And I did like some of them! However, when I met Sandy and had my sessions with her, she truly went above and beyond what I could have expected with any of them!
I truly believe that she has to be the absolute BEST in all of Ventura as she worked so diligently and so hard with me. She was not only tough on me in a gentle way when I needed it but also so loving and kind and encouraging when I needed it! Any one who went through a Total Knee Replacement surgery would agree with me how hard and painful the following Physical Therapy always is! However, she made it so much more tolerable by interspersing difficult movements with easier ones or talking with me through it with jokes etc!
I am so grateful that I was blessed with her as my PT and will encourage and recommend her to anyone who is seeking a PT after their own surgeries! - P.H, Active Senior
